**SES Production Access Pending for Over 8 days– No Response from Trust & Safety**

-1

I submitted a request to move my Amazon SES account out of the sandbox over a week ago and have not received any response — no approval, no rejection, and no follow-up questions.

I also replied to the original support case with a detailed description of our use case (see below) but still no update.

Our use case:

  • Platform: HeyTrippr (heytrippr.com) — a group travel management platform for trip hosts in India
  • Email types: Transactional only — booking confirmations, payment receipts, trip updates, and OTPs
  • Recipients: Registered users who signed up voluntarily on our platform
  • Volume: ~500–1,000 emails/month to start
  • Domain auth: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured
  • Bounce handling: SNS notifications set up to suppress bounced/complained addresses

This is blocking our production launch. Has anyone faced a similar delay recently? Any advice on how to get this unstuck would be really helpful.

If anyone from the AWS team is reading this — our case number is 178291506100840. Would really appreciate an update.

I understand how frustrating it can be when production access is delayed. Amazon SES production access requests are reviewed by AWS Trust & Safety teams to ensure compliance with email sending best practices and AWS policies. Review times can vary depending on the volume of requests and the complexity of each case.

Since you've already submitted your request and provided detailed information about your use case, the best course of action is to continue working through the AWS Support Center. You can add additional correspondence to your existing case at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/ to check on the status or provide any additional information that might help expedite the review.

While waiting for production access, you can continue testing in the sandbox environment with verified email addresses to ensure your implementation is working correctly. This way, once you receive approval, you'll be ready to launch immediately.

If you need faster response times for future requests, you may also want to review your AWS Support plan options, as higher-tier plans offer shorter response time commitments for various case severities.

The Trust & Safety team will respond to your case once their review is complete. They may approve your request, ask for additional information, or provide guidance if any changes are needed to meet AWS policies.
