Use SQL server license available in AWS AMIs and apply for another instance that has SQL server self-installed

Hi everyone, I intend to set up Windows Server 2022 with SQL server 2016 Standard, but AWS AMIs not support yet. So I intend to choose Windows Server 2022 Base and install SQL server 2016 by myself. The problem is that I hope can use the Pay-as-you-go license that available in AWS AMIs like "Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with SQL Server 2016 Standard", can I get SQL Server 2016 Standard license in AWS AMIs and then apply it to my new instance, then I can shutdown the instance with "Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with SQL Server 2016 Standard". Is that possible?

Last version that is supported with AWS AMIs is SQL Server 2017, however you can choose a marketplace AMI that offers that configuration such as Windows Server 2016 + SQL Server 2016 Standard - Enterprise Ready CloudMint
