How to use the "Application" tag in Aurora RDS for postgres

I want to start using the "Application" tag so I can start segmenting my postgres cluster metrics.

My guess is that the way to do this is by setting the application_name para in the posgtres connection, but no AWS document gives hint on this.

I want to confirm this is the approach or get to know the correct approach. Thanks in advance

I think you mean tag. You can find the instruction here. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/AuroraUserGuide/USER_Tagging.html You can open the "Tag" tab in your Aurora PostgreSQL cluster or instance, and then click the Add button, and specify key/value.
