How to enable IPv6 for a CloudFont distribution along with SSL in Route53?

0

Current Route 53 configuration for IPv4 is:

  • DOMAIN.de -> pointing to DISTRIBUTION.cloudfront.net
  • www.DOMAIN.de --> pointing to (another record in this hosted zone) DOMAIN.de (I've got that working for www.DOMAIN.de, DOMAIN.de work in progress as I have requested SSL only for *.DOMAIN.de, not for DOMAIN.de yet)

So far, I have tried to

  • activate IPv6 in the CloudFront distribution
  • create AAAA IPv6 records in Route53 for both DOMAIN.de and www.DOMAIN.de, each pointing to (again) DISTRIBUTION.cloudfront.net

After enabling the latter, neither DOMAIN.de (www or without) works anymore. What am I missing?

Hello.

Please check if the domain name can be resolved using the "dig" or "nslookup" command.
Also, please make sure that this configuration is completed successfully.
