DeepLens v1.1 Registration failure
I have connected my DeepLens v1.1 device to my account to register and validate the devices i purchased, the device never connects to my machine (MacOSX) I follow the steps exactly as instructed but I only receive failure after initial 2 minutes of waiting. I connected the device to a monitor and keyboard, i updated the password to my own custom password and i tried to update the packages on the device with the following steps sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install awscam sudo reboot I pressed the reset pin too I also added MFA to the root account of the AWS account we are using. Nothing I have done has allowed me to successfully complete the 1st step to connect the device to the account to validate and register it. What can I do?
How to re-purpose DeepLens / Install different OSs
Hi guys, #### Is there a way to install different OSs, other than its factory Ubuntu 16.04, on DeepLens to repurpose it? One of my `Deeplens v1.1` is no longer needed for its original usage, and I was considering to reuse it for other purposes. It would be better if one can install different OSs on it, like Windows or official Ubuntu releases. #### Disabling secure boot Tried to burn a official Ubuntu image on `/dev/sda1`, but the display reads `been blocked by current security policy`. Using a UFI bootable USB created via `ventory` will leads to the same error. So possibablly, if one can disable the secure boot setting, then we can install different OSs on it ? How to do that? Many thanks~
Can't deploy sagemaker object detection model on DeepLens
I trained a sagemaker model instead and get the following compile error **"expecting bytes like object, str found"** after compiling. These are the steps I took: ``` 1. Labeled images in ground truth myself. 2. Trained the model using sagemaker training job gui, with the following options: a) Vision Object Detection (Mxnet) b) resnet50 c) image shape 300 3. Training job completed successfully. 4. Imported model from sagmaker in deeplens a) selected "Amazon Sagemaker Trained Model" b) Selected training job c) selected mxnet as framework 5. downloaded project with new model a) verified model downloaded and extracted in /opt/awscam/artifacts b) mo.optimize('model_algo_1', 300,300,'mx) c) compile error "expecting bytes like object, str found" ``` So here the debugging task is much simplified for your team: a) I have removed any external dependency using built in sagemaker vision model. b) NEO optimization is not part of the workflow - import model directly from training job in deeplens console. c) awscam updated - rebooted I am completely operating in AWS managed services now with no external dependencies. All software versions are known to AWS and I am using AWS recommended workflow. Please can someone suggest what is wrong.
Can't compile Gluoncv model on deeplens
In my ipynb I download a pre-trained model and push to S3 ``` import numpy as np import mxnet as mx import gluoncv as gcv import tarfile net = gcv.model_zoo.get_model("ssd_512_resnet50_v1_voc", pretrained=True) net.hybridize() net(mx.nd.ones((1, 3, 512, 512))) net.export("model") tar = tarfile.open("ssd_512_resnet50_v1_voc.tar.gz", "w:gz") for name in ["model-0000.params", "model-symbol.json"]: tar.add(name) tar.close() sess.upload_data( path="ssd_512_resnet50_v1_voc.tar.gz", bucket=bucket, key_prefix=pretrained_model_sub_folder ) ``` I can download the model ok with deeplens project. I see the updated .params and .json file in the /opt/awscam/artifact/ dir. But when I try and compile the model in my inference script on the Deeplens device: ``` error, model_path = mo.optimize('model', 512, 512, 'MXNet') ``` I get the following compile error ``` DEBUG:mo:DLDT command: python3 /opt/awscam/intel/deeplearning_deploymenttoolkit/deployment_tools/model_optimizer/mo_mxnet.py --data_type FP16 --reverse_input_channels --input_shape [1,3,512,512] --input_model /opt/awscam/artifacts/model-0000.params --scale 1 --model_name model --output_dir /opt/awscam/artifacts Model Optimizer arguments: Common parameters: - Path to the Input Model: /opt/awscam/artifacts/model-0000.params - Path for generated IR: /opt/awscam/artifacts - IR output name: model - Log level: ERROR - Batch: Not specified, inherited from the model - Input layers: Not specified, inherited from the model - Output layers: Not specified, inherited from the model - Input shapes: [1,3,512,512] - Mean values: Not specified - Scale values: Not specified - Scale factor: 1.0 - Precision of IR: FP16 - Enable fusing: True - Enable grouped convolutions fusing: True - Move mean values to preprocess section: False - Reverse input channels: True MXNet specific parameters: - Deploy-ready symbol file: None - Enable MXNet loader for models trained with MXNet version lower than 1.0.0: False - Prefix name for args.nd and argx.nd files: None - Pretrained model to be merged with the .nd files: None - Enable saving built parameters file from .nd files: False Model Optimizer version: 2019.1.0-341-gc9b66a2 Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/mo.py", line 229, in optimize set_platform_param(mxnet_params, aux_inputs)) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/mo.py", line 160, in run_optimizer std_err = re.sub(b', question #\d+', '', std_err) File "/usr/lib/python3.5/re.py", line 182, in sub return _compile(pattern, flags).sub(repl, string, count) TypeError: sequence item 1: expected a bytes-like object, str found ``` I think there must be a mismatch in versions between mxnet, gluoncv, intel openvino compiler... but stuck on this issue. Any help appreciated.
I am trying to register a DeepLens v1.1. I have created a boot usb drive and did a Factory Reset. The device will still not register (either via the 1.1 or the 1.0) method. When I try the 1.0 method I get stuck with "**The security token included in the request is invalid**". Therefore I can't create roles or get certificates. I can log into the DeepLens just fine -- and apt and apt-get work fine -- I have followed all the reset instructions on the AWS site -- and there is very little info there or anywhere (all info on this site does not work or is not answered) Please Help !
DeepLens v1.0 unable to connect to WiFi
I just bought a used 2017 DeepLens (v 1.0) and tried to register it following instructions. Successfully connected to the camera's WiFi and got stuck on connecting the camera to home WiFi: after selecting the network and entering the password, the process gets stuck indefinitely, with the middle diode blinking. No error message is displayed, the camera doesn't connect to WiFi, "next" button is white with a moving progress "circle". I already triple-check that I am using the correct password (even copied it from the keychain to be sure) and tried de-registering the failed attempt and registering again. Is there anything else I should try to register the device?
No module named 'awscam' Traceback - Deeplens / Lambda
Hi, I am building a simple application using Aamzon Deeplens. When compiling the Lambda function which interact with deeplens, it keep poping up the error "Unable to import module 'greengrassHelloWorld': No module named 'awscam' Traceback". I have reinstall awscam and updated the software on Deeplens for multiple times. I even tested the Deeplens Lambda template that is provoided by AWS. It still shows the same error. Please advise.
Failure to register V.1.1 AWS deeplens camera on Ubuntu 20.4 LTS
> The problem is related to registering a **AWS DeepLens v1.1 Camera** I am failing to register a AWS Deeplens camera using machines running Ubuntu 20.4 (focal) and Mint 19.3 (tessa) or ubuntu bionic, with the error: **Device not detected**. This is when trying to follow the *Register an AWS DeepLens v1.1 device * steps on the AWS web console. Trying to go via other forums, I am made to believe that there is a need to have the **awscam** package installed on the linux machines. I ama failing to install the package as well, with the error below. Is the a awscam package for debian distributions, and more precisely for Ubuntu 20.4? **sudo apt-get install awscam** ``` sudo apt-get install awscam Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package awscam ``` **lsb_release -a** ``` lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS Release: 20.04 Codename: focal ```
DeepLens - How to fix "The security token included in the request is invalid"?
I'm going through the process of registering my DeepLens. The moment I go to the page for registering my lens with V1, I get a message of "The security token included in the request is invalid". If I instead go through the V1.1 process, I get the same message after hooking up my DeepLens, and setting up the internet. Under either path, the lens fails to register. Any ideas? **Trouble Shooting So Far:** + Tried issuing new security key + Tried using root account and IAM role + Tried clearing cache + Tried using a different account + Tried using a different computer
Security token problem while registering AWS DeepLens v1.0
I'm trying to register my AWS DeepLens v1.0 but I'm failing at step 1 "Autorizations". As soon as I load the page, there's a red panel showing "The security token included in the request is invalid". And if I enter a name then click the "create roles" button, same thing. The browser JS console is showing "POST https://iam.amazonaws.com/ 403", so I suppose I could manually add some roles in my IAM user profile, but I'm new with AWS, and don't have any clue. Can someone help me ?
Unable to factory reset AWS Deeplens
I'm trying to reset my v1 AWS Deeplense using the instructions given in the AWS documentation. But, when I restart my device using BIOS setting I'm getting following error: "can't read CTR while initializing i8042" and then I'm routed to initramfs prompt. I tried multiple things to resolve this error: 1. I tried changing changing my pen drive 2. I tried executing steps via both Ubuntu and windows machines 3. I also tried formatting my USB stick in multiple ways 4. I tried exiting a couple of times on initramfs prompt But, none of these steps work. I don't understand why this is happening. Can you please help me reset my device to factory setting?
