I'm running in the LMS environment. My rds-ca-2019 certificate expired on August 22, 2024. I cannot even connect from my MySQL Workbench to the Amazon environment. As a result I can't run any of the suggested MySQL scripts. I'm stuck. I don't know what i can do from the AWS side.
I just realized my certificate has renewed somehow. However I still cannot reconnect from mySQL Workbench on my computer to AWS database. I had no problem from about a week ago.

You are correct that AwS now flag this certificate as expiring soon.
They recommend updating the certificate. This is performed by modifying the RDS instance and selecting a newer cert. 2019 is still the default but there are other alternatives. I recently deployed the most recent cert which expires in 2061
