How do I add new glue job script from s3? standard worker type no longer available?

0

Hi i am operating glue using python script from uploded at s3.

I have 2 questions.

  1. until recently, to add new glue job, I used Legacy pages in aws glue session by following process.

Jobs(legacy) -> Add job -> typing Job Name, select Type, Script file name, s3 path where the script is stored

but because of recent updating Legacy pages are no longer available.

Is there a new method to replace the one I was using?

  1. standard worker type no longer available? Has it been completely replaced to G.1X worker type?

thanks for reading.

  1. Yes you can do the same in the new script, select the "ETL jobs" menu and in the Glue Studio starting screen select the type "Spark script editor". (not that only the screen has changed, the underlying API services are the same).
  2. "Standard" has been deprecated for a long time and removed from the console (in the APIs it is still available for older version for backwards compatibility). G.1X makes better use of the same hardware
