Hello there, yes it doesn't show pdf option in console but you can index a pdf using the cs-import-documents command or using AWS CLI (1). It gets converted to a JSON on upload and you can then perform a search.

Example for json given: aws cloudsearchdomain --endpoint-url http://doc-movies-y6gelr4lv3jeu4rvoelunxsl2e.us-east-1.cloudsearch.amazonaws.com upload-documents --content-type application/json --documents movie-data-2013.json
For PDF, should I use like this (content type as json and documents given as pdf)? aws cloudsearchdomain --endpoint-url http://doc-central-htxeq46zxrngf3emkxwmpfncuy.us-east-1.cloudsearch.amazonaws.com upload-documents --content-type application/json --documents data-hourly.pdf
