Hi,
can you try with different client renderers?
Does the problem persist if you run the viewer as:
dcvviewer --renderer-type glx
?
Also, as a mitigation, you could see whether you still experience the issue with the software renderer:
dcvviewer --renderer-type software
If one of them works fine and is slow - can you please check with top, ... what is consuming most resources?
BTW - are you using DCV on AWS server-side on which instance?
Best regards, Karsten
--renderer-type software works but performance is un-usable. I am using DCV server on-premises, and that is my intended use case deployment.
Regards --renderer-type software is it un-usable because your CPU is at 100%? How large is your screen and where are you located? Maybe you can reach out to us at https://www.ni-sp.com/contact/ ?
I'm seeing the same thing, with the server and client both running an up to date Ubuntu 22.04. I get a black screen with 2022.2 client. I then downgraded the client back to 2022.1 and everything worked as expected (NVIDIA Driver Version: 515.76 on client).
Thanks! Verified! An update will be available soon.
The update is avaible now. Please download the new client from https://download.nice-dcv.com/ and verify if it is working well for you.
