AWS Connect Service Now Integration

Hello, I am working on integrating Amazon connect with Service Now, however as the integration is supported only in N.Virginia region & i want my connect instance in Sydney region i am unable to claim a phone number in sydney region, i want understand what are my options here? Is there a way to get a phone number in Sydney region keeping my instance in N.Virginia to support service now integration?

Hello,

As you have mentioned, integration of service now with amazon connect is only supported in N.Virginia region. Further, if your instance is in Sydney region, it doesn't support the integration with Service Now and you need to have an instance in N.Virginia. Also, if you have a phone number in Sydney region and would like to use the same in N.Virginia region, you can migrate the same number to N.Virginia and use it for Service Now integration.

Moving forward, as you mentioned that you are unable to claim a number, can you kindly confirm what is the issue you are observing and also confirm in which region you would like to have the number.

  • Thank you & appreciate your response. I just wanted to understand my options as I would need the contact center primarily for Sydney region, when I select N.Virginia I cannot claim a phone number for Sydney as the options are restricted to countries for N.Virginia, I would incur international call charges if I used that.
