RDS SQL Server Multi AZ deployment - MirrorUsage cost category

I recently noticed an increase in RDS cost and using Cost Explorer, I see a category named MirrorUsage that accounts for the cost increase. I'm looking for articles or knowledgebase that explains the MirrorUsage category so I can understand the source of the cost increase.

Thank you for the article. The article seems to have details needed to explain Multi-AZ deployment, but does not seem to have detailed information on cost.

The MirrorUsage usage type represents the RDS instance cost in a Multi-AZ deployment.
