View Kendra's data and ACL

Is there any way to see the data and ACLs included in Kendra's index? (We use Confluence and Slack as data sources.)

Hi Kenichi Abe,

When documents are ingested into Kendra, their ACLs can be included as part of the document metadata, which Kendra uses to enforce document access policies during search operations. To view the ACLs associated with documents in an Amazon Kendra index, you would typically need to query the index for specific documents and examine the metadata returned in the query results. Kendra indexes don't provide a direct interface or feature solely for the purpose of listing all ACLs of all documents in the index.

In terms of visiblity on viewing the data in your Kendra Index, you won't be able to browse all indexed documents as you might with a file system, but you can you can programmatically query your Kendra index using the Kendra Query API or you can use the Kendra Console which has a user-friendly interface where you can perform searches on your index.

Kendra does however, provide various insights into the index's composition like Index Metrics which include the total number of documents indexed and Synchronization Metrics which include the number of documents added, deleted, or failed during synchronization runs.

Thanks, Ayman
