Migration from OVH to AWS using Intel Xeon 21 series

0

Hi, we are considering migrating from OVH where we use the Intel Xeon 21 series to AWS. The problem we face is that the Python algorithm needs to use 1 physical CPU per job (2 threads), and we're not sure AWS has the right instance type to enable us to do this migration. We want to move without changing the code (preferably) and without damaging performance (a must).

Is this doable and if so what are the options? TIA!

Hi,

Are the instances of r7 family what you need: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/r7iz/ ?

They scale up to 128 vCPU as per page above. They are the fastest 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable-based (Sapphire Rapids) instances in the cloud with 3.9 GHz sustained all-core turbo frequency. They use DDR5 memory.

Best,

Didier
