Cognito token when Authenticated identity source is not a Amazon Cognito user pool

Question

When I use cognito user pools as identity source when authenticated I get a token. Do users still get a cognito token even if the identity source is not a user pools (ex: facebook)?

Hi,

Yes,  when you sign in through [social identity providers (IdP)](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cognito/latest/developerguide/cognito-user-pools-social-idp.html) like Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple, Amazon Cognito provides token handling and management for all authenticated users, and you will get a Cognito token.

Note that regardless of the chosen IdP, a user profile will be created in the Cognito user pool after the first login.
