"HideDisabled" field in ListIdentities

0

Hi, according to the List Identities documentation, the field HideDisabled hints that we can disable identities within an identity pool but I couldn't find further information how to accomplish this.

Is my understanding correct, can we disable an identity within an identity pool and if so what are the steps?

Hello Robert,

It appears that within identities pools, there is an option to specify if you would like to have unauthenticated identities enabled or disabled.

1) Select the name of the identity pool for which you want to enable or disable unauthenticated identities. The Dashboard page for your identity pool appears.

2) In the top-right corner of the Dashboard page, select Edit identity pool. The Edit identity pool page appears.

3) Scroll down and select Unauthenticated identities to expand it.

4) Select the check box to enable or disable access to unauthenticated identities.

5) Select Save Changes.

More about this can be read on our Using identity pools wiki page https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cognito/latest/developerguide/identity-pools.html
