How to disable compatibility mode on existing Opensearch or elasticsearch 6.8 domain

While checking the compatibility of my current elasticsearch version to opensearch. some how the compatibility mode got ON. I wanted to disable it. Can anyone please guide me on this.

Here's the command to disable compatibility mode: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/opensearch-service/latest/developerguide/rename.html#rename-upgrade

PUT /_cluster/settings { "persistent" : { "compatibility.override_main_response_version" : false } }
