Where do I find the public IP of the server launched with ECS?

0

Hello!

I can't find a public IP or domain to access the service I launched with ECS.

Okay, so I start with the guided setup:
https://eu-central-1.console.aws.amazon.com/ecs/home?region=eu-central-1#/firstRun
And I stick with every default setting - I don't change anything.

I see the live monitoring of AWS spinning up the cluster. It finishes successful.

What I would expect now is first of all a new EC2 instance in eu-central-1 and also a public IP or domain to admire the sample app. But nothing.

I suppose I am fundamentally misunderstanding something here.

Kind Regards

Raffael

The EC2 instances in the cluster cannot be directly accessed. They are only indirectly accessible via the Elastic Network Interface. This ENI can be found either directly in the EC2-MC or a link in the information on the running cluster. The ENI features the necessary public IP.
