EC2 Instance not longer accessible after credits expiring

0

I have recently had a t2 instance that ran out of credits, I have made the server unlimited, upgraded to t3 and let the credits recover but I am still unable to connect to the server.

Is there anything additional I need to do?

Do I have to worry about being able to access the server again and data again?

Hello.

Please check the EC2 system log to see if any errors have occurred.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/troubleshoot-unreachable-instance.html#instance-console-console-output

Also, if you cannot connect using SSH, try another connection method such as a serial console or Systems Manager Session Manager.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-serial-console-prerequisites.html
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/systems-manager/latest/userguide/session-manager-prerequisites.html

If you are unable to connect, please create a new normal EC2 and mount the root volume of the abnormal EC2 on the new EC2.
After mounting, you can retrieve the data you need.
