File Restore failing?

After initiating a restore on several files about a day ago in S3 Glacier Deep Archive, using 'Standard' (Typically 12 hours), and setting them as 'available' for 7 days, none of the files seem to have been restored, as I'm able to successfully re-initiate the restore. I recognize that I can always choose the option, but get an error message if it's already in progress. That's not the case this time, which indicates they were never restored in the first place.

The files are large video files (around 100GB each), nested deep within parent folders.

Any idea how this occurred, or what I can do to successfully restore the files?

  • Note that S3 has no concept of folders -- the '/' character is not special. The UI just makes it look that way for us humans. Hence there is no concept of nesting.
