Amazon Macie question

Can Macie consolidate the findings across various regions and report from one central location (like Security Hub), or does it have to be enabled region wise?

Yes, you can publish your Macie findings to a central location like Security Hub. However, note that Macie and Security hub are regional services but Security hub supports cross-region aggregation of findings. https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2021/10/aws-security-hub-cross-region-security-posture/
