Why doesn't my docker-compose file work with ecs-cli compose up?
I want to use this docker-compose.yml file with ecs-cli compose up, but it seems there are certain 'options' that are not compatible with ecs-cli, while the same options work fine on my local machine. I haven't been able to find anything helpful in regards to version compatibility.
For example, here is an error I get when I have the volumes
option in my docker-compose.yml file:
ERRO[0000] Unable to open ECS Compose Project error="Volume driver is not supported"
FATA[0000] Unable to create and read ECS Compose Project error="Volume driver is not supported"
It also seems that you cannot use minor versions like "2.2", while "2.0" is acceptable.
I've stumbled onto ecs-params.yml
which may provide some answers...
Overall, i'm quite lost on how this works, and what options are and are not available and haven't been able to find any helpful documentation. Is there a doc that tells me exactly what is and is not allowed to use with ecs-cli compose up
.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Here is the compose file for reference. I've tried removing various pieces until i got something that didn't give errors and I was able to push the containers to the ec2 instance, but they stopped running because there was missing information due to the commenting out.
