Direct Connect physical connection

0

I think I already know the answer but figure I got this fare might as well ask, apologies for the basic question. I want to create a 4-gig direct connect, at first, I thought I can go to my CoLo and request a 10-gig cross connect and have them rate limit it to 4 gigs but then I realized that they just provide the connection, so it is either 4 one gig connections or a 10-gig connection. The bandwidth I use is determined between AWS and myself when we go configure the cross connect. I don't believe there is a SFP module that is 4 gigs so I would need to go the single 4 gig connections. So, with that said if that is the case then on the AWS side, I am assuming a port channel will be created and that information will be given to me or do I just set up on my side a standard port channel?

Thank you in advance!!

You have two options: Dedicated and Hosted. The port speed for Dedicated connections are 1Gbps, 10Gbps, and 100Gbps. You would create a LAG and request 4x1Gbps connections to be associated with the LAG. For Hosted connections, the port speed are 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps, 300 Mbps, 400 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 10 Gbps, and 25 Gbps. You need to work with an AWS Direct Connect partner to get a 5Gbps hosted connection.
