Cognito 2FA and registering a 10DLC campaign

I'm using the Cognito hosted UI and want to enable 2FA. I can't update any of the 2fa language because the hosted ui handles all of that.

I keep getting my 10DLC campaign rejected due to: "Opt-in process not compliant or opt-in is not explicit".

This is what I wrote for the opt-in flow: "When signing up, they are directed to a screen that asks them to enter their phone number with a "SEND CODE" button. Pressing send code is the user's way of opting in to recieve to 2FA code from us."

Is there a workaround here? I've tried a few different descriptions and I don't know how else to fix this without having control over the 2fa screen text.

update: It seems like the hosted ui does not follow amazon's own recommended best practices (outlined here under "Opt-in workflow": https://docs.aws.amazon.com/pinpoint/latest/userguide/channels-sms-best-practices.html) when it comes to setting up MFA. Does this mean it's impossible to use the hosted ui for SMS MFA? If so it would be nice if amazon cognito mentioned this somewhere in the docs so people don't waste their time trying to set this up.
