Hi,

Look at my answer in https://repost.aws/questions/QUrK1sbWLuSgKoRnYp2q9_iQ/error-upgrading-mysql-5-7-to-8-0

It looks very close to your issue.

The way to contact the RDS Service team is not via re:Post. It is via the AWS Console > Support to open a tickect on which the team will answer and fix if needed.

Best,

Didier
