Login to AWS Console iPhone app with yubikey?

I use a hardware security key (yubikey) to log into the AWS console. The AWS console app for iPhone does not appear to support this login method. Am I just out of luck?

Unfortunately, the AWS Console Mobile App and mobile browsers do not currently support YubiKey security as MFA for AWS. Please refer to the document below:

I found a workaround for this "Enabling a virtual multi-factor authentication (MFA) device"; for more details, please refer to the document below:
