You already did what you could by raising to Support, and then them raiding as feature feedback (as suggested also here: https://aws.amazon.com/rds/aurora/faqs/ on the extensions section).
You ll have to wait until gets prioritized from AWS team. If you have an account manager you may contact him/her too.
