Product Advertising API throws TooManyRequestsExceptions even though we are certainly within the limits

Question

We are using the PA API for several countries with the same number of requests for every country. These requests are within the limits specified in the docs. Only for Amazon US we are getting many TooManyRequestsExceptions. However, our requests are definitely within the limits as we make the same number of requests to all countries (Germany, Italy, UK, Spain, US), and only for US, this exception occurs.

I wonder if there are specific limitations for Amazon US PA API or if this is a known issue and can be fixed on the side of Amazon?
