Pushing Docker Image to AWS ECR fails on the first step.

So I created a public repo in AWS ECR. When i type the following command in AWS CLI:

aws ecr-public get-login-password --region us-east-1 | docker login --username AWS --password-stdin public.ecr.aws/********

I get the following error:

Error saving credentials: error storing credentials - err: exit status 1, out: error storing credentials - err: exit status 1, out: `The stub received bad data.``

I created an IAM user and gave it AdministratorAccess. I have tried everything but I am still getting this error.

Hi

you need to find a file ~/.config/docker/config.json. And then remove the credHelpers line from this file. and retry the command
