Cost explorer shows 0$ although I use the correct tags

Hello,

I would like to create a cost summary for my accounting department. However, the Cost explorer does not work for me as it should. I have selected the correct tags (this was confirmed by customer support). Also, for some database instances for months that are in the past, I can't see any costs. However, if I select the current month, it works. A small example: I have a database instance and there I added a tag on 10/6/2023. If I now set the date range to 10/1/2023 to 10/5/23 0$ is displayed. Only from the 6.10., on the day where I added the day, the correct costs are displayed to me.

The billing support couldn't help me with this, maybe someone else can. If you have tips or questions please let me know.

It is expected behavior. See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/activating-tags.html and https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/allocation-tag-restrictions.html.

"Tags only start appearing on your cost allocation report after you apply them and don't appear on earlier reports." In other words, if you choose tags to see the cost explorer data, data from before when the tag was applied will not show up.
